Praktik Pengumpulan Batu Sungai dan Pengaruhnya terhadap Masyarakat Desa Taliabo

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana masyarakat Desa Taliabo memanfaatkan potensi batuan Sungai Sausu, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para pengumpul batu, dan menggali dinamika sosial-ekonomi desa dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif induktif. Analisis induktif merupakan pendekatan yang dimulai dari fakta lapangan, menganalisisnya berdasarkan teori dan argumentasi yang relevan, dan pada akhirnya menghasilkan suatu kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengumpulan batu di aliran Sungai Sausu Desa Taliabo merupakan kegiatan ekonomi yang sangat penting dalam menunjang penghidupan sebagian masyarakat. Beradaptasi dengan kondisi alam dan penggunaan peralatan tradisional seperti rakit ban dan gate-gate menunjukkan ketahanan dan kreativitas masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal. Meskipun jam kerja fleksibel menawarkan adaptasi terhadap ketidakpastian, struktur harga batu berdasarkan ukurannya memberikan peluang ekonomi yang signifikan. Namun tantangan seperti kondisi alam di musim kemarau dan permasalahan kesehatan menambah kesulitan dalam pekerjaan ini. Selain itu, aspek sosial-ekonomi seperti budaya gotong royong menggarisbawahi pentingnya kerja sama komunal dalam mengatasi kesulitan. Pada saat yang sama, keterbatasan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan dan perumahan mencerminkan tantangan yang lebih luas yang dihadapi masyarakat pengumpul batu sungai di Desa Taliabo. Oleh karena itu, Pemerintah Kabupaten Parigi Moutong direkomendasikan untuk mendukung kegiatan pengumpulan batu di Sungai Sausu sebagai bagian penting dari perekonomian lokal Desa Taliabo. Hal ini dapat mencakup pemberian pelatihan dan akses terhadap teknologi yang lebih efisien untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan keselamatan kerja bagi pengumpul batu sungai. Selain itu, pengumpul batu direkomendasikan untuk menerapkan praktik kerja yang lebih aman dan berkelanjutan, termasuk peralatan yang ergonomis dan memperhatikan kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja. Bagi masyarakat Desa Taliabo, direkomendasikan untuk memperkuat sistem gotong royong yang ada. Inisiatif bersama ini dapat membantu mengatasi beberapa tantangan sosial-ekonomi yang dihadapi masyarakat pengumpul batu sungai sekaligus memperkuat ketahanan komunal terhadap ketidakpastian ekonomi dan alam.
