Identifikasi dan Respon Masyarakat terhadap Ancaman Terorisme di Kota Makassar

Terorisme merupakan ancaman global yang kompleks, dan pemahaman tentang respons masyarakat terhadap ancaman ini sangat krusial. Penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam identifikasi dan respons masyarakat Kota Makassar terhadap ancaman terorisme, khususnya pasca-serangan bom di depan Gereja Katedral. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan warga, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, aparat keamanan, serta analisis dokumen dan pemberitaan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Kota Makassar mengidentifikasi karakteristik kelompok teroris melalui perpaduan antara pengetahuan faktual dan stereotip. Proses identifikasi ini juga melibatkan analisis terhadap respons kelompok-kelompok tertentu atas kebijakan pemerintah, serta kewaspadaan terhadap potensi manipulasi isu oleh elit politik. Lebih lanjut, media massa memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk persepsi dan respons masyarakat. Penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa identifikasi yang tidak akurat dapat memicu stigmatisasi dan diskriminasi. Respons masyarakat terhadap kebijakan pemerintah dan dinamika politik lokal menjadi indikator penting dalam mengidentifikasi potensi gerakan terorisme. Kesimpulannya, identifikasi dan respons masyarakat terhadap ancaman terorisme adalah proses yang dinamis dan multidimensional, yang memerlukan pendekatan komprehensif dan partisipatif dalam upaya pencegahannya.
