Open Access Policy

Open Access Model

All articles published by this journal are available through open access. Readers may access the full text of published articles without subscription fees or access charges.

Open access is provided immediately upon publication and is not subject to an embargo period. Accordingly, readers are not required to wait for any specified period before accessing a published article.

The journal does not restrict open access to particular categories of users. Articles may be accessed by researchers, academics, students, practitioners, policymakers, institutions, and the general public.

Immediate and Barrier-Free Access

This journal provides direct access to the full text of published articles through the journal website. To read or download published articles:

• readers are not required to pay access fees;
• readers are not required to hold a subscription;
• readers are not required to register or log in.

User registration available through the journal system is intended for specific purposes within the publication process, such as manuscript submission or the performance of editorial responsibilities, and is not a requirement for accessing published articles.

Access and Reuse Rights

Open access not only allows readers to read published articles but also permits the reuse of scholarly works in accordance with the license applicable to each article.

Subject to compliance with the applicable license terms, users may:

• read and download the full text of articles;
• copy and distribute articles;
• print or share articles through appropriate media;
• create links to articles or their full text;
• use articles for teaching, research, and other scholarly purposes;
• index, search, and process articles through systems or software; and
• reuse or adapt material provided that such use complies with the applicable license terms.

Reuse must provide appropriate attribution to the authors and the source of publication. Users are also responsible for ensuring that their use of the material does not imply endorsement by the authors or the journal where no such endorsement has been given.

Relationship with Copyright, Licensing, and Self-Archiving

Open access status does not remove copyright protection from published articles. Articles are published under an open license that defines the rights of reuse and the attribution requirements that users must observe.

Open access through the journal website is distinct from authors' right to deposit or disseminate particular versions of a manuscript in repositories or other platforms. The permitted versions and conditions of deposit are set out in Repository & Self-Archiving Policy.

Open Access and Publication Fees

Readers are not charged for access to published articles. This policy applies regardless of whether any fees may be charged to authors during the publication process.

Fees associated with the management or publication of an article do not constitute charges for providing readers with access to the published article. Provisions concerning fees applicable to authors are presented separately in Article Processing Charge.
