Aims

SIGn Journal of Social Science aims to provide an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scholarly platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and professionals to examine contemporary social phenomena, develop theoretical and empirical knowledge, and contribute to the advancement of the social sciences.

The journal seeks to strengthen social science scholarship in Indonesia while facilitating scholarly engagement with regional and global issues. It welcomes studies that offer theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, empirically supported, and socially relevant contributions to understanding societies, institutions, policies, communities, cultures, human behavior, and processes of social change.

SIGn Journal of Social Science accommodates diverse theoretical perspectives, research designs, and methodological approaches. Particular consideration is given to manuscripts that demonstrate a clear research problem, appropriate theoretical or conceptual foundations, methodological rigor, objective analysis, reliable evidence, and a substantive contribution to the development of knowledge.

The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary research that connects two or more of these fields and offers a substantive contribution to understanding social phenomena, institutions, governance, public policy, economic and social development, communication, education, culture, population dynamics, human interaction, mobility, communities, and contemporary societal challenges.

Manuscripts should demonstrate a clear relationship between the research problem, theoretical or conceptual framework, methodology, findings or analysis, and the scholarly contribution claimed by the authors. Submissions that fall outside the journal’s stated scope or fail to demonstrate sufficient relevance to the social sciences may be declined during the initial editorial screening.
