Calcium Channel Blocker Reaction to Gingival Growth
Abstract
This study aims to describe gingival overgrowth as an adverse drug reaction due to Calcium Channel Blocker. This type of research is a literature study with a literature review approach. This study uses research data from 2009 to 2020. The results show that the wide prevalence variability is thought to occur due to genetic differences, population characteristics, and the criteria used. Sociodemographic factors (age and gender) did not significantly affect GO, while oral hygiene factors and drug pharmacokinetic variables still gave mixed results. Therefore, it is recommended that researchers and all relevant agencies carry out further research. In this case, to find objective results on oral hygiene variables and drug pharmacokinetic variables.
