The journal particularly welcomes research that connects economic analysis with management, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, markets, organizations, technology, sustainability, international business, or Islamic economic and business systems in explaining contemporary economic and business phenomena. Interdisciplinary studies involving technology, public policy, sociology, psychology, environment, law, or related disciplines are welcomed when economic mechanisms, business organizations, markets, managerial processes, accounting and financial systems, or economic and business outcomes constitute substantive components of the research problem, theoretical or conceptual framework, analysis, and scholarly contribution.
Manuscripts should demonstrate a clear relationship between the economic or business problem or research question, theoretical or conceptual framework, methodology, data or evidence examined, findings or analysis, and the scholarly or practical contribution claimed by the authors. Studies that primarily address another discipline without substantive engagement with economic behavior, markets, organizations, management, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, business processes, or economic and business outcomes fall outside the journal’s principal scope and may be declined during the initial editorial screening.
