The Productivity of Local Workers in Balinese Indigenous Building Construction

Abstract

This study analyzes local labor productivity in Balinese indigenous building construction works. This type of research is quantitative research with a work sampling method that develops the law of probability. The results showed that the installation of the rafters took four days. This case involved 0.039 OH carpenters and 0.139 OH workers in completing a 72.96 m3. At the same time, the installation of eaves takes three days. This case involved 0.139 OH carpenters and 0.069 OH workers in completing a volume of 43 sticks. Furthermore, labor productivity for the installation of rafters based on the calculation of the standard time is 30.37 minutes/m3. Meanwhile, labor productivity for the installation of eaves based on the calculation of the standard time is 39.04 minutes/stick.
