This research was conducted in four arabica coffee plantations in Bener Meriah Regency. The location of arabica coffee plantations is determined based on three altitudes, namely 1300-1400 masl, 1400-1500 masl, and 1500-1600 masl. Observation of the intensity of the distribution of the pest hypothenemus hampei was carried out by making a mapping based on the level of attack and population level. Data on the distribution pattern of the pest hypothenemus hampei were analyzed using the binomial distribution index (K), variant relationship intensity (I), the green coefficient (∑x), and the Morisita index (Iδ). The results showed that the value of 2 < K < 8, the value of I < 1, the value of ∑x > 1, and the value of Iδ < 1. Therefore, the distribution pattern of the pest hypothenemus hampei was well clustered in arabica coffee plantations at an altitude of 1300-1600 masl.
2022-03-17T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Milda Gemasih, Djufri Djufri, Abdullah Abdullah, Khairil Khairil, Hasanuddin Hasanuddin https://jurnal.penerbitsign.com/index.php/sjse/article/view/136 Bacterial Profiles and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Patterns in Patients with Suspected Bloodstream Infections 2022-05-13T13:44:52+00:00 R. This type of research is a laboratory experiment with a descriptive cross-sectional study approach. Blood samples were tested in the microbiology laboratory using BacT/ALERT. While the identification and antimicrobial sensitivity test using Vitek 2 Compact. The results showed that gram-positive bacteria had a higher percentage (65.3%) than gram-negative bacteria (34.7%). S. aureus (31%) is the dominant bacteria causing bloodstream infections. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out definitive therapy using vancomycin for gram-positive bacteria. Meanwhile, definitive therapy uses levofloxacin, meropemem, and amikacin for gram-negative bacteria.
2022-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 R. This type of research is a literature study. The results showed that polysulfone, polyacrylate/poly (silicone-co-acrylate), chitosan, polyhydroxybutyrate, k-carrageen (CBH), polystyrene, and starch are polymers that can be used as coatings on slow-release fertilizers. The resulting characterization can use UV-Vis spectrophotometry, FTIR, and SEM. Therefore, it is recommended that farmers apply polymers to slow-release fertilizers to increase agricultural yields without wasting the use of fertilizers.
2022-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Dhystia Ferdajuna Fitri, Fithriani Armin, Akmal Djamaan https://jurnal.penerbitsign.com/index.php/sjse/article/view/138 Calcium Channel Blocker Reaction to Gingival Growth 2022-05-13T14:00:40+00:00 Siti Zannira siti.zannira@gmail.com Widya Kardela siti.zannira@gmail.com Sri Oktavia siti.zannira@gmail.com
This study aims to describe gingival overgrowth as an adverse drug reaction due to Calcium Channel Blocker. This type of research is a literature study with a literature review approach. This study uses research data from 2009 to 2020. The results show that the wide prevalence variability is thought to occur due to genetic differences, population characteristics, and the criteria used. Sociodemographic factors (age and gender) did not significantly affect GO, while oral hygiene factors and drug pharmacokinetic variables still gave mixed results. Therefore, it is recommended that researchers and all relevant agencies carry out further research. In this case, to find objective results on oral hygiene variables and drug pharmacokinetic variables.
2022-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Siti Zannira, Widya Kardela, Sri Oktavia https://jurnal.penerbitsign.com/index.php/sjse/article/view/139 Tranexamic Acid and Nicotinamide Combination Using Microneedling in Melasma Treatment 2022-05-13T14:05:46+00:00 Rahma Tri Irfanti rahma.tri.irfanti@gmail.com Prasetyadi Mawardi rahma.tri.irfanti@gmail.com Nurrachmat Mulianto rahma.tri.irfanti@gmail.com
This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the combination of 3% tranexamic acid, 3% nicotinamide, and microneedling verses Kligman's formula in reducing melanin index. This type of research is an experiment with a clinical experimental pre and post-control group study approach. The research sample consisted of 28 people. The research subjects consisted of two groups, consisting of 14 samples. Check the assessment points carried out at the beginning of use, the fourth week, the eighth week, and the twelfth week. The efficacy of the treatments was determined through the Mexameter®. The statistical analysis used the chi-square test. The p-value of < 0.05 statistically significant. The results showed that the melanin index decreased in both groups without statistically significant differences (p > 0.05). The effectiveness of decreasing the melanin index in group A occurred significantly from the eighth to the twelfth week. While the decrease in the melanin index in group B began to appear in the twelfth week. Therefore, the combination therapy of 3% tranexamic acid, 3% nicotinamide, and microneedling has the same effectiveness as the modified Kligman formula (hydroquinone 4%, tretinoin 0.05%, and fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%) in reducing the melanin index.
2022-05-13T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Rahma Tri Irfanti, Prasetyadi Mawardi, Nurrachmat Mulianto
